Teropong Bintang Gunakan Nokia Lumia 1020

Satu lagi penemuan teknologi baru, sebuah teropong bintang dibangun menggunakan hasil cetak printer 3D memiliki kemampuan teleskop pada ruang observatorium.

Alat ini diberi nama Ultrascope yang dirancang James Parr, dari OSA (Open Space Agency), dilansir dari Engadget, Sabtu (11/10/2014)

Selain perangkat ini dibuat menggunakan printer 3D, juga memanfaatkan kelebihan smartphone berkamera 41 megapiksel, Lumia 1020.

Alat ini tersusun oleh potongan cetak printer 3D dan ditambahkan beberapa kaca arcylic sebagai komponen optikal Ultrascope. Dirakit sedemikian rupa dan menghasilkan teropong dengan tinggi satu meter. Ultrascope dikendalikan mikro-kontroler Arduino dari PC.

James Parr menciptakan Ultrascope yang lebih portable dengan biaya lebih murah. Nantinya James akan memberikan spesifikasi, file 3D dan diagram perancangan agar semua orang bisa membangunnya sendiri.

Saat ini Ultrascope masih dalam tahap pengembangan untuk pencapaian  lebih sempurna. Rencanannya Ultrascope akan dikembangkan lebih luas tidak hanya sebagai teleskop, tetapi juga untuk keperluan di laboratorium medis seperti mikroskop dan sebagainya.
